MaKenna PopeMy Bikram yoga experience started in 2007 when my sister took me to a class at the Grapevine studio. Within moments of stepping through the doors, i discovered that Bikram yoga was a great match for me. I can't be certain of what got me hooked, it could have been the physical benefits, the peace of mind attained though practice, or even the more delicate aspects , like self-esteem and the wellness of my spirit. Either way they are all good enough reasons for me. I'm a dedicated vegetarian and have been for years. I have chosen this lifestyle due to two things; my morals and my health consciousness. Because my health is of great importance to me, practicing Bikram yoga was a no brainer when the opportunity arose. I quickly found that nothing feels better than helping your mind and body in such a special way. The combination of the intricate poses with the hot room was a wonderful surprise (not to mention the reward of reflecting on your practice). Having the opportunity of being a member of the BYNT family has truly been an inspiration to me. I will admit that i have not always been as consistent of a student as i would like to be, but now that i am truly engulfed in the Bikram yoga environment, that has changed. Right now i am most looking forward to helping clients to the best of my ability and getting to know everyone involved with Bikram yoga, and i can't wait to start my 60 day challenge. As far as my future with Bikram Yoga goes, i aspire to one day myself become an instructor and help people the way that the staff and clients here at BYNT have helped me.
