What's in it for you?

Your first time?

Welcome. We’re happy you’ve decided to join us. Here’s what you need to know before you go:

  • You may sign up for classes at the studio or visit our tuition page and register.
  • No reservation is required. However, once you’ve purchased your introductory month you can register for class online. This is a great way to commit to taking class.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early for your first class. We want you to have time to register for class, tour the studio, sit back and relax. We start on time and do not allow late entry for new students.
  • Bring a yoga mat, bath size towel and water. No worries if you forget anything, we rent mats and towels and sell water and mats.
  • Dress in light, non-restrictive clothing for class. We have a fully stocked retail area so you can stock up on all your yoga gear.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day. How much is enough? Drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day. You will feel well hydrated and your skin will love it too.
  • Practice on an empty stomach. Allow a few hours between your meals and your practice.  If you feel you must eat before practice, keep it light. The more regularly you practice, the more you will innately know the best diet plan for your body.
  • No cell phone, pagers or perfumes in the room.
  • See our FAQ section to learn more about the benefits

Here’s what you need to know once you’re here:

  • All of our instructors are Bikram certified, which means we have completed Bikram’s rigorous and thorough 500 hour training program. We are here to help, so feel to free to approach us with questions and concerns
  • Take your 2nd class within 24 hours of your first class. You have awakened and stimulated every system in your body with your first class. With your second class, your internal organs and systems receive 2-3 times the nourishment and healing they did in the first class.  Each class builds exponentially on the next
  • Take at least 10 classes as close together as possible. You will feel some of the benefits in just a class or two, but to really soar you need the cumulative effect of at least 10 classes. Come as often as possible with no long lapses between sessions.
  • Stay in the heated room during the entire class. It may be tempting to step out of class into the air-conditioned lobby but resist the urge and you will be happy you did.  Feel free to take a break or sit down if necessary, honor your body but stay in the room and you will quickly acclimate to the heated conditions.
  • Yoga is a practice and a journey; there is no “perfect”. Just give your 100% effort, attempt all poses as instructed and you will receive 100% medical benefit beginning with your very first class.
  • Feeling a little weird? Weird is normal. You may feel emotions ranging from laughter to tears.  This just means the yoga is working.  This system of yoga is powerful and works at all levels to heal whatever ails you.
  • Be still. You may be here to work your body but your mental muscle can always use some good conditioning. Being still is a quick and simple way to develop self-discipline, determination and mental strength.

Why 105 degrees?

Yoga changes the construction of the body from the inside out, from bones to skin and from fingertips to toes. So before you change it, you have to heat it up to soften it, because a warm body is a flexible body. The combination of yoga and heat will leave you looking and feeling nothing short of amazing.
